BCM114/Blog 2/Online presence
At this stage of the blog, I chose a YouTube blogger like Mikhail Timochko. I chose this blogger because I have been following his projects and promotion on various social networks for more than two years. Moreover, the topic of his content on the YouTube channel is closely related to my Digital artefact. Mikhail Timochko has created his own course «Launch Formula», where he teaches online professions and promotion in the media space.

Mikhail focused on self-development, personal effectiveness and productivity. His videos are characterized by a high level of elaboration, high-quality editing and a focus on solving the real problems of the audience. Through his work, Mikhail demonstrates the key principles of design thinking, although he does not directly use this term.
Although Mikhail rarely discusses his process as such, he sometimes lifts the veil over the backstage of content creation.
One of the bloggers described in detail how Mikhail writes scripts, organizes the filming process and conducts editing. This video can be considered as an example of the practical application of the principles of Mikhail’s design thinking.
Moreover, Mikhail often participates in podcasts, where he shares his experience working with the audience, methods of generating ideas and time management.

The process of creating Mikhail’s content can be decomposed into stages of design thinking.
- Empathy: studying the audience:
He actively interacts with subscribers through comments, surveys on social networks and analyzes data such as the popularity of videos and audience retention.
In one of his videos Mikhail mentioned that the topic of procrastination appeared in response to frequent requests from viewers.
- Problem definition:
Each of Mikhail’s videos begins with a clear statement of the problem he is going to solve. In the video «How to stop procrastinating,» Mikhail begins by describing situations that are familiar to every viewer: postponing important tasks, lack of energy and lack of motivation. He then offers a step-by-step solution plan.
- Ideation: generation of ideas
Mikhail actively uses third-party sources for inspiration, including books, research, interviews and his personal experience. In a series of videos about habits, Mikhail referred to ideas from books by James Clear and Charles Dahigg, adapting them for his audience. This shows that his content creation process is based on a thorough research of information.
- Prototyping and production:
In some videos, Mikhail shared that one of his successful series of videos about producing began as a test project. He shot several short videos on this topic to understand which format evokes a greater response from the audience.
- Testing and feedback:
Mikhail regularly collects feedback from his audience. Comments, views, likes, and audience retention help him determine what works best. At the same time, doing it unobtrusively and communicating with the audience on other social networks.
In my project, I often start from the content of Mikhail Tymochko, who often displays the material he has learned in BCM and marketing lessons. By experimenting with formats, creating videos, and text posts, I identify the most effective approaches. Tools such as comments, likes and statistics help me choose topics for new posts. Collecting ideas through reading articles, repeating the material covered and analyzing successful blogs is also part of my work on the project, which coincides with Mikhail’s approach.
His approach inspires the development of not only professional skills, but also strategies for working with the audience. Studying its content allows you to look at your own methods of creating media from a new perspective.
